Quote from Dajmin :You'll never ever see that one on a pub blackboard

At least, not spelled correctly.

It's great from a packaging point of view if this gives a lot more room for electric motors and suspension to be packaged inside the wheel. Think how much more room you'd have inside the car? Or how much smaller it could be? Or how much lower the CoG is. And so on.

Alternatively, you could put some lips around the inside, seal one side of the wheel and put a door on the other, and you can do your laundry on the commute to work.

They shouldn't have killed him but I don't see an issue with using the meat while it's fresh. They are homeless after all and can't be too picky. Did the kebab and pie shops in question know it was human meat though? Probably not, I doubt many would buy that.

Many people would rather sit on their arse doing nothing than actually contribute to a community by working. Money makes sure these jobs get done. My greater concern is being able to get back on the ladder once you fall off it, it's not easy for a homeless person to get working and earning again. That's where they need help, not money handouts so they can buy food for tomorrow.

People clearly get too accustomed to what they are hearing. I used to have an amp that had a "give insane amounts of bass buton". I almost reached the point where I got used to it at that level, and thought there wasn't anywhere near enough bass with it off. I've come to my senses since then, but clearly my idea of flat frequency response was very much off. Likewise when listening to a clearer hifi, you don't notice the extra details until you get used to the sound, but once you do you can rediscover old records, and you'll notice how bad your less detailed system sounds in comparison. So for people used to compressed music, the lack of awfulness in the unmastered audio is less apparent.

It's not like we've not seen excessive gore and death before with films like Braindead or the Phantasm series.

If the downforce figures are to be belived that's the second highest figure I've ever seen for a 'road' car (only the Ferrari FXX tops it), level with the McLaren F1 GTR long-tail.

As far as I am aware, SoftTH doesn't know, nor can do anything, about screens of different physical sizes.

If the smaller screens are lower resolution, by the precise amount that the screens are smaller by, so that your pixel size ends up the same, then in windowed mode things will appear the same size, although you can't compensate for the bezel gap. SoftTH and LFS can both compensate for bezels (although LFS can only do so when rendering with multiple viewports).

With SoftTH, when you run a smaller resolution on the sidescreens, the whole image is still rendered at 3x the central resolution, and the image for the sidescreens is resampled to the lower resolution. If the screens are smaller and the native resolution lower, what would actually be better is for the image to be cropped, rather than resampled, and that would probably get your desired effects. I've not noticed an option to do that last time I looked through the SoftTH config, but there might be. If not, you could always add a request for that feature on the SoftTH forum.

Quote from David 09 :Put this forum in several languages

Learn English.

(It's as blunt as your request and gets the job done even better, as there are years worth of posts to search through and then ignore when you create a new thread on an old topic...)

Quote from Dirk Gently :Been ages since I last raced

True for many of us oldies I think. I'm hoping I'll find the time to start racing again with the next patch. I'm getting too out of touch with what LFS is actually about after a few years of only boing on this forum.

Quote from Dirk Gently :Fun that people stick around!!

Even better that people who once stopped return to the scene. I think the time off makes you appreciate LFS more. Having never left, I can't go on this voyage of rediscovery, and it's harder to get hooked again. Not to mention the constant dribble of changes makes them seem less that they are, as the newness always wears off.

Quote from bavorak :tweak is a software that increases your performance (horse power) quite a lot

Not really true. Tweak and similar apps just let you edit the vehicles to do whatever you want with them. You can make a go kart, a stock car, a dragster, anything within the limitations of LFS and the particularly editing program.

Ah, that must be a somewhat recent development, I didn't realise LFS had that now.

Yes. PBs don't mean anything anyway. You may not, however, use tweaked cars for uploading hotlaps.

Quote from Shadowww :Avoidable with WireShark.
Go on.

And how many people will spoof packets to their own machine, every time they want to launch an application? To mix it up, you could even randomly recheck every few minutes, and restore and quit if the check were to fail.

Valid criticisms are welcome but unless you can come up with something more foolproof yourself, such nitpicking isn't useful.

Quote from Shadowww :then you can write a tool that will grab all memory addresses from dump

Unless you like to make lots of work for yourself, you don't store all the separate variable addresses anyway, just the start address of each struct, or even better, the start address of the first struct, and the spacing between structs.
